You can only purchase the Angkor pass at Angkor Enterprise ticket office, located next to Angkor Panorama Museum, on Road 60. You cannot purchase it neither on the site nor at the entrance of the temples.
The ticket office is open from 5.00 AM to 5.30 PM every day.
Tickets purchased from a third party are not valid. Cash and VISA CARDS are accepted to buy the ticket. There is neither change nor refund at a later time once your ticket is bought. You cannot buy the pass in advance. You can only purchase it on the day of your visit or from 5.00 PM for the next day.
On the same evening, you can also watch the sunset at Angkor Site for free.

Any photography taking or film/documentary shooting for commercial purposes must be submitted to the APSARA National Authority for prior approval. Use of drone is forbidden.

You have a complete access to all the temples in Angkor Park, except for Beng Mealea and the Kulen Mountain.

Always keep your pass with you during your visit as tickets are regularly checked at most of the temples and at checkpoints. If the date or photograph cannot be read or if you laminate, lose, tear or wet your ticket, you will have to buy a new one.

Be aware that if you are found without a valid ticket or with a fraudulent or transferred ticket, you will be prosecuted and handed over the police. You are also subject to a fine
- 100 USD for the value of a one-day ticket;
- 200 USD for the value of a three-day ticket;
- 300 USD for the value of a seven-day ticket.

People holding a “K” type visa in their passport are exempt from paying the entrance fee as well as foreigners who have been granted Cambodian citizenship if they show their national identification card.

For foreign visitors, we have three types of tickets to visit Angkor.

- One-day pass
This ticket offers you one entry for one day to Angkor Park. Be aware that a one-day visit allows you to see the highlights of the most famous temples but not more.

- Three-day pass
With this ticket, you will be able to enter the site three days within a week. Three days are enough to visit the major temples and a few minor ones.

- Seven-day pass
This ticket allows you to spend seven days in Angkor within a month. It is the best way to explore the park and discover a lot of temples, including the most remote ones, to enjoy many activities and to take time to see the countryside and villages as well.

All the temples are open from 7:30 am to 5:30 pm, except for:
- Angkor Wat and Sras Srang that are open from 5:00 am to 5:30 pm
- Phnom Bakheng and Pre Rup, from 5:00 am to 7:00 pm However, be aware that Banteay Srei closes everyday at 5:00 pm and Kbal Spean at 3:00 pm.

If you want to visit Angkor with a tour guide, be aware that only official guides are admitted. Tuk-tuk drivers are not licensed guides.
You can find a tour guide at travel agencies and tour guide associations. The costs depend on the spoken language.
There are also audio guide companies in town that offer automatic audio guide devices.

At the moment, there is no limited access to the temples except for Phnom Bakheng and the Bakan (the central tower of Angkor Wat). The number of people who can access to these temples is restricted to 300 visitors for Phnom Bakheng and 100 visitors to the Bakan at the same time. This limited carrying-capacity aims at preserving the temples and ensuring the safety of all visitors.

Cambodia has a tropical climate, the weather is warm and humid. There are two main seasons: the rainy one from May to October and the dry one from November to March. The rainy season is the hottest one: the temperatures are comprised between 27 to 37 degrees Celsius whereas the dry season is cooler with temperatures from 23 to 29 degrees Celsius.
January is the driest and coolest month, September the wettest one and April is the warmest. The average temperature is 28 degrees Celsius.

Even is the temperatures are high, we expect you to come to Angkor with decent clothes. Your shoulder and knees should be hidden since the temples are sacred places.

There are a few restaurants where you can have lunch: in front of Angkor Wat, the Leper King Terrace, Sras Srang, Ta Prohm and Banteay Srei, among others.

It is completely forbidden to eat in the temples and to have picnic in the Park.

There are several modes of transport allowed inside the site, from bicycles to air-conditioned vehicles. Most hotel staffs will be able to assist you.
To smell the forest and listen to birds and cicadas, discover the temples by “3-wheel remork” (tuk tuk) and bicycle!

- Car taxi (3-4 seats): $25-30/day. The most comfortable mean of transportation, with air-conditioning.
- 3-wheel remork: $12-15/day. This is the most used mode of transport to discover Angkor. For max 4 persons.
- Motorcycle taxi (Motodup): $8-10/day. This mean of transportation is not very comfortable especially for long distances.
- Bicycle: $2-3/day. There are many cycle paths, the ground flat makes it easy to pedal but pay attention to the heat.

Be aware that you will have to pay more for the remote sites such as Banteay Srei, Kbal Spean or Phnom Krom. To avoid misunderstanding, negotiate all the details of the driver’s services carefully.
